Aquaman discovers Lorena, a survivor of the sinking of San Diego who can breathe underwater.

Aquaman helps the survivors of San Diego adjust to life as water-breathers. He is aided by Lorena.

While investigating a undersea machine that may have caused the sinking of San Diego, Aquaman and Lorena encounter a weird creature.

Aquaman goes to Japan to find Porm's murderer and discovers that Captain Tanaka has become Demon Gate and killing Porm was his revenge on Aquaman. When Japan refuses to turn...

Aquaman enlists the Martian Manhunter's aid to force his will on the Cybernetic Entity, then uses the ship to terrorize Japan until they hand over Demon Gate.

Aquaman investigates a deep trench with the Sea Devils, until a monster arrives and takes Deep Blue down into it. Aquaman descends, and finds his old foe, Black Manta.

Mera, insane with grief over the loss of her baby, attacks Aquaman. She is apparently killed.

Aquaman returns to Atlantis to find it destroyed by the Spectre and many of his former subjects dead. He leads the survivors to Sub Diego but their assimilation will not be easy.
